Satyanarayana is a Geoscientist with over three decades of experience in Hydrocarbon Exploration and Production in both technical and leadership roles with ONGC and OVL. His area of expertise include G & G data interpretation, 2D/3D Seismic Interpretation, Seismic Reservoir Characterization, Prospect Evaluation, Exploration and development studies, Technical due diligence, Farm-In, Data Rom Evaluations, and asset acquisition.
Satyanarayana has worked in various Sedimentary Basins and different tectonic settings in India and Globally. He has carried out multiple studies in Krishna-Godavari, Assam & Assam-Arakan, Mumbai High, Shallow, deep and ultra- deep waters of East coast offshore basins in India
Satyanarayana was Acting Country Manager for ONGC Videsh (OVL) based in Juba, South Sudan responsible for Key technical and investment decisions related to work programs and budgets. He represented OVL Exploration, Development and Commercial Technical Reviews, Joint Operating Committees / Operating Committee Meetings, Board of Directors Meetings of Greater Pioneer Operating Company Limited (GPOC) and Sudd Petroleum Operating Company Limited (SPOC)
As a Technical team leader for OVL, Satyanarayana has evaluated 27 blocks in Australia Bid round 2012 in both the tranches and 7 Blocks in Indonesia Bid Round. Moreover, he has carried out Technical due diligence for many opportunities including Shyrak and Koblandy of OTG of Kazakhstan, OPL-321 &323 of Nigeria, PPL-319 of LNG Energy and PPL-265,266 & 267 of NG Energy of Papua New Guinea, A3 Block of Myanmar, 17 licensed blocks of Providence, Ireland, 6 Blocks of Stat oil, Norway, three Offshore Blocks, Adriatiku-2, 3, and 4 of Albania, Onshore Aksai Block of BOLZ LLP and Dautskoye Block of Profit LLP in Kazakhstan.
Mr Satyanarayana holds a M.Sc. Tech in Geophysics from Andhra University, India.
