Sivakumar is a Technical Leader in Petroleum Engineering with over 32 years of diversified experience with Petronas, BAPCO, and ONGC. His area of expertise include Production Technology, Reservoir Surveillance, Well Modelling, Integrated Production Management, Well Completions, Artificial Lift (Gas Lift, ESP, PCP & Sucker Rod Pumps), Deep water and subsea field development, Capability Development Management, Joint Venture PSC Management and managing multidisciplinary team.
In Petronas, Sivakumar was Focal point for Production Technology for company operated and JV (Shell, Murphy, Talisman, Newfield, Hess, Carigali-Hess, PCPP, Conoco Phillips, Nippon Oil etc.) oil fields in Malaysia. He was part of Production Technology Review Committee for FDP, FFR (Full field reviews), and new technology initiatives such as CT-ESP, Water Shut-off techniques, Sand Consolidation techniques etc.
Sivakumar has a deep and broad experience in Reservoir Engineering, Well & Reservoir Management, Waterflood surveillance & Monitoring, Well completions and Sand control, Well Acid Stimulation and Fracturing, Well Intervention and workovers, and Well and network modelling. He is an expert in Design, Diagnosis, Troubleshooting and Management of Gas lift, Sucker rod pump, PCP & ESP systems, Well Production Monitoring, Production Forecast, and Decline curve analysis.
Sivakumar is well versed with Prosper/GAP/MBAL, WellFlo/ReO, OFM, Pansystem/SAPHIR, OfficeCade – Sandcade, Fraccade, Stimcade; WellCat etc. He is also an expert trainer in Well Completions, Formation damage and Acid Matrix Stimulation, Hydraulic Fracturing and Production Enhancement. He holds a BS and PG Diploma in Petroleum Engineering from Indian school of Mines, Dhanbad, India
